We are Full!

We now have no spaces left on any of our events and are therefore frantically trying to see if we can add further dates.  Please accept our apologies if you were looking to try to get onto a course.  Hopefully the situation will be resolved soon.

May course – Change of Date!

Due to the local Government elections the hall we were using on the 22nd May is now having to be used as a polling station.  Therefore we are unable to run our course as scheduled.

We are however able to run it on the Wednesday 21st May (the day before).

We apologise for the change in date, but it is due to circumstances beyond our control.

Regards

We are in the Paper!

The Wokingham Times ran a story on our Heartstart Courses last week, see: Get Reading (open the news item to enable the link).  As you can read from the article, we had a very nice commendation from the Me2 Club.  We have already began to get bookings as a result of this.

Sudden rush on bookings

We are delighted to say that after a sudden rush on bookings our next 2 courses are now full.  We will continue to monitor the situation and if there is enough demand, put another course on.  So if you do not see a date which is suitable, then please contact us.

Over 100 poeple now trained

As at the 22nd February, Heartstart Swallowfield will have trained 116 people with a further 22 already booked on future courses.  This is a great achievement but we want to train more and help provide the Emergency Life Skills (ELS) to the community at large.  So if you have not attended yet, please come along and if you have attended, please help spread the word.

Its a Full House!

It was a full course on the 20th February in Swallowfield with 12 eager attendees.  The course was a huge success with great comments back from those that attended.  There was lots on interest in the AED (Automated External Defibrillator).20-02-2014 Swallowfield d

Heartstart Courses on the Swallowfield PC new Website

Swallowfield Parish Council have just launched a new website and one of its features is to advertise events in the local area. Heartstart Swallowfield is pleased to announce that the Parish Council has kindly allowed all of our courses to be promoted on their website.  This will just help us spread the word and encourage more people to attend.

See http://swallowfieldpc.gov.uk/  for the home page and click here to see our individual listing on the website!

Stratfield Saye Course

After a resident of Stratfield Saye came on our course in Spencers Wood, the team were invited to deliver a course for the residents of Stratfield Saye, which was a great success. The feedback from the course was excellent including one person who said  “Thank you for a brilliant HeartStart course last week – you have given me the confidence to help in an emergency. Fantastic teaching – very clear and hands on. Everyone should go on one!

We would like to thank Rick for organising the event for us and for the council for allowing us to use their village hall.

Global Knowledge Purchase AED’s!

As a result of management attending a Heartstart Course, run specifically for Global Knowledge in Wokingham, the Company is now putting in an order for 4 Automated External Defibrillators, one each for their 4 training centers.

Gary, who also works for Global Knowledge was really pleased with this response as it just goes to show the impact of the Heartstart Course and the fact that people now realise how important an AED and the life saving potential it has.

Heartstart Swallowfield has already delivered 2 courses and is shortly to arrange for a third, based upon demand.

Nearly 80 people now trained!

In just over 2 months, we have now trained 79 people and have bookings for a further 30 people.  We are very excited about what we have been able to achieve so far and hope that people will continue to book onto our courses and hopefully save a life!
