We are extremely excited to say the our AED (Automated External Defibrillator) Project is still on going with the formal launch of the AED in Dobbies Garden Centre, which has now been registered with the Ambulance Service and by the time you read this,

Another AED goes live in local school

We are pleased to announce that we have just given yet another AED to one of our local schools.  This time is to St Marys Junior School in Wokingham.

Barry and Steve took the AED down there to show the staff how it all worked. 



Shortlisted in the Heartsafe Awards 2016

heartsafe-logo heartsafeWe are very happy to announce that the Swallowfield Community responders were shortlisted out of many hundreds of schemes in this years Heartsafe Awards.  Whilst they did not win, they were nevertheless very proud to have made it that far in the face of many other schemes.



We attend the Arborfield Emergency Services Day

We were very fortunate to have been once again invited to the Arborfield Emergency Services Day.  Great fun was held by all and we were very busy indeed.  We were very grateful to Geraint (one of our Heartstart Instructors) who had obtained permission from the Army to come along and help out!



Local Schools benefit from AED Donations

We are very pleased to announce that Heartstart Swallowfield and the Swallowfield Community Responders have between them raised enough funds to donate three AED’s to our local Schools.

Two of these have now been deployed in the Oakbank School and Lambs Lane School.



Fraser’s Budgens puts their Heart into the Community

We are very pleased to announce that not only have Fraser’s Budgens allowed us to reinstall the Public AED onto their Three Mile Cross Site, they have also paid for the privilege!  Frasers is a family run Company that really likes to be part of the Community and they jumped at the chance to show this by asking whether they could actually make a donation to pay for the AED that was on the front of their shop.



Heartstart attends the Swallowfield Church Fete

We were once again very happy and pleased to be invited back to the Swallowfield Church Fete.  The weather held on the whole and the Fete saw hundreds of people attending.  at one point there was not a single chair left around the tea tent and it looked like the whole or the vicinity had descended to partake in afternoon tea and cakes!



Heartstart Attends Pang Valley Camp

We were very fortunate to be asked to attend the Pang Valley Camp this year where 500 Scouts, beavers, cubs, explorers all descended into Pangbourne for a couple of days of fun and education.  We were asked to be part of the Community Section and taught the youngsters CPR and how the AED works.
