Next AED is Live!

The next Public Access Defibrillator is now live at the Riseley Village Tea Rooms in Riseley.
We are very grateful to the Tea Rooms and the Swallowfield Parish Council for hosting an AED on behalf of the Community.

Three AED’s are now live!

We are very pleased to announce that AED’s are now live and covering the community 24 x 7 at the following locations:

  • Co-op store in Shinfield
  • Beech Hill Memorial Hall
  • Victory Hall in Farley Hill

If you wish to know more about the defibrillator being used,

Wokingham Lions donate £250

We were very fortunate to receive a £250 cheque from Wokingham Lions to help fund the free courses that we provide for the local community and we thank them very much.

We are in the paper

(or on line since there is no longer any Wokingham Times).

We were pleased to see that our achievements were worthy enough to make it into the local on-line newspapers as Get Reading visited us to find out more about our AED campaign and put the story on getreading.co.uk.

We have done it!

We are extremely pleased and excited to announce that we have been successful in raising the funds to put a minimum of 7 Public Access Automated External Defibrillators (PAD’s) in to the Community as we have now raised in excess of £12,000 to fund their purchase.

We have passed the 200 mark!

On the 21st August Heartstart Swallowfield trained its 200th person!  Given that we only really started in October 2013, we think that this is a tremendous achievement.  Whilst this is indeed a great number, there is still an enourmous amount of people yet to be trained,

First Course In Riseley

We now have a new venue in Riseley – the RSF Tennis Club who have allowed us to use their facility free of charge.

Please help support the first course in Riseley, which is happening on the 7th October.

We have a new Instructor!

Steven became our newest Instructor when in July he was officially signed off to deliver the Heartstart Course.  He was handed his certificate in front of the attendees by Stephen Cartwright our Training Supervisor to a round of applause.

Our Youngest Trainee So Far!

On the recent Swallowfield course we were pleased to be able to train Benham who despite his looks was only 14 years old!.  He had contacted us himself as he saw the importance of being trained in Emergency Life Skills and after we had checked with his parents we welcomed him onto the course.

More dates added!

We are very pleased to announce that we have just added some more dates for our Heartstart Course evenings for people to book on.
